Minneapolis, MN (Sports Network) - Rashad McCants scored 20 points and dished out five assists to lead the Minnesota Timberwolves to a 104-88 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers at Target Center.

Al Jefferson contributed 19 points and 14 boards for the T'Wolves, who snapped a five-game losing streak. Marko Jaric ended with 15 points, while Randy Foye gave 13. Ryan Gomes chipped in 12 points and six boards and Craig Smith tallied 11.

Andre Iguodala poured in 17 points for the 76ers, who saw their five-game win streak come to a halt. Andre Miller had 15 points and six assists, while Thaddeus Young collected 12 points in defeat.

The T'Wolves led 23-17 after the first quarter and 53-44 at the half.

Three Iguodala points cut Philly's deficit to 67-60 with 2:18 on the clock, but a Gomes free throw sparked a 7-2 Minnesota run to end the third frame. McCants also contributed a layup on the burst and Jefferson closed it out with two buckets.

"We didn't do a good job of getting to the glass on shots," Iguodala said.

The surge sent the T'Wolves into the final 12 minutes of play up 74-62.

Two Louis Williams free throws pulled the 76ers within 10 points, 74-64, less than 15 seconds into the fourth quarter.

However, two Jaric free throws at the 8:52 mark capped an 8-2 Minnesota run that gave the T'Wolves an 82-66 lead.

Samuel Dalembert responded with a jumper, but Jaric would answer back with a bucket and McCants drained a three to put Minnesota up 87-68 with just under seven minutes to play.

The T'Wolves led by as many as 22 points down the stretch, and were never seriously threatened the rest of the way.

"Before they played us they won nine in a row," Foye said. "Coach said before the game to come out and play as hard as we can and get the second half started."
