Final Score: Orlando 110 - Toronto 127
Toronto, ON (Sports Network) - Chris Bosh scored 40 points on 14-for-16 shooting as the Toronto Raptors routed the Orlando Magic, 127-110, at Air Canada Centre.
Carlos Delfino added 23 points, and Jose Calderon finished 19 points and 13 assists for the Raptors, who have won three of four. Jamario Moon donated 17 points and 12 boards for Toronto, which shot a sizzling 58.8 percent.
"I thought everybody played great tonight," said Toronto coach Sam Mitchell. "I thought Chris (Bosh) was locked in and ready to play tonight. I thought Jose (Calderon) and everyone who played tonight, played well. We knew coming into tonight that we were going to have to score to beat this team. They have so many weapons and you have so many problems with matchups because of Dwight (Howard)."
Dwight Howard had 37 points on 13-of-16 shooting and pulled down 15 rebounds for the Magic, who had a brief two-game winning streak snapped. Rashard Lewis and Hedo Turkoglu added 16 points apiece for Orlando.
Juan Dixon's jumper with 29 seconds left in the third quarter gave Toronto 100 points and a 21-point lead. Toronto led 102-82 lead heading into the fourth quarter.
Orlando opened the final frame with a 12-2 run. Consecutive dunks by Howard and Maurice Evans capped the flurry and pulled the Magic within 104-94 with 9:26 remaining. Toronto, though, never allowed Orlando to get any closer.
"Well, we got the ball back twice down 10 (points)," said Orlando coach Stan Van Gundy. "Mo (Maurice Evans) got a pull-up and missed and Bogs (Keith Bogans) got a three in the corner and missed. Those kind of runs happen all the time in the NBA and all he (Mitchell) did was put Calderon and Bosh back in and game over."
After Calderon made the second of his back-to-back three-pointers, the Raptors led 117-103 with 3:40 to go.
Bosh's jumper with 5:49 left in the first quarter gave the Raptors an 15-14 edge. Leading 31-24 after the opening 12 minutes, the Raptors extended their lead to 64-50 at the intermission.
Toronto shot 61 percent in the first half and was nearly as hot in the second.
