NBA Game Summary - Philadelphia at Miami

Final Score: Philadelphia 101 - Miami 96

Miami, FL (Sports Network) - Andre Iguodala had 24 points, 12 rebounds, six assists and accounted for the decisive six-point burst that propelled Philadelphia past sinking Miami, 101-96, in overtime.

Andre Miller went for 24 points of his own and also dished out nine assists, while Lou Williams added 13 points off the bench for the Sixers, winners in seven of their last nine contests.

Dwyane Wade had 33 points for the Heat, but just 12 after halftime, and Miami dropped its 11th consecutive game, and 26th of its last 27. Marcus Banks had 17 points and Mark Blount 14 for the Heat, who were outscored 10-0 to close the extra session.

"Other guys have to make plays," Heat coach Pat Riley said, referring to his team's lack of production outside of Wade. "We had a shot at the game-winner. We had two layup attempts at the tie that were missed in overtime. We had a couple other good shots by some guys. Dwyane can't do everything."

The Sixers went scoreless for the first three minutes-plus in OT, falling behind 96-91 before Williams broke the dry spell with a pair of free throws. Miller then picked off a lazy pass by Wade for a runout, trimming the lead to 96-95.

Miami's Jason Williams missed a runner at the other end, and Iguodala grabbed the rebound and steamed ahead for a three-point play in transition to give Philly a two-point edge with 1:08 remaining.

Wade then had a floater rim out, and Shawn Marion's putback attempt was blocked by Thaddeus Young. Samuel Dalembert came up with the loose ball for the Sixers, and with just over 30 seconds to go, Iguodala took the ball to the hole and finished with the left hand for a 100-96 advantage.

Udonis Haslem and Ricky Davis collided going for a rebound after Wade missed a three on the ensuing possession, and the Sixers were able to close it out from the line after that.

Dalembert finished with eight points and 11 rebounds, while Willie Green scored 14 and Young ended up with eight and five boards.

"I think we did a good job holding our heads there," Iguodala said. "They had a 4-0, 5-0 run in overtime and we were down quick. We kind of had a sense that we either come back or we just die down. I think we just kept fighting and got the win."

Davis had 11 points off the Heat bench.

Philly ran off an 8-0 surge - thanks to a trapping zone defense that led to transition buckets - to take a 23-15 lead, and it was 24-19 after one quarter.

Miami tied the game at 34 on a pair of Wade free throws just past the midway point of the second. Despite the efforts of their star, who continued to dissect the Philadelphia defense, the Heat couldn't get over the hump for a lead and trailed 51-49 at the half.

The Heat went up 58-53 early in the third on a Jason Williams three, but the Sixers clawed back to tie the game at 71 with a little over a minute to go, and it was 73-73 going to the fourth.

Wade's three had the Heat up 83-79 just ahead of the seven-minute mark, But Philly pulled even on Lou Williams' lay-in less than a minute later, and the Sixers were back up, 89-85, after a pair of Iguodala free throws inside four minutes.

Haslem, who had made the past nine games with an ankle injury, hit a pair of jumpers to put the Heat up 91-89 with just over a minute to go in regulation, but Miller evened the game with a pair of free throws. Philly had a chance to win it after a miss by Wade, but Dalembert's turnover gave the Heat the final shot.

Wade drew multiple defenders as he tried to isolate Miller, and kicked to Jason Williams in the corner. Williams' potential game-winner rimmed out, and the contest went to an extra session.
