NBA Game Summary - Milwaukee at New Jersey

Final Score: Milwaukee 106 - New Jersey 120

East Rutherford, NJ (Sports Network) - Devin Harris scored 21 points in his Nets debut, as New Jersey crushed Milwaukee 120-106, at the IZOD Center.

Harris was acquired in the Jason Kidd deal on February 19, and hadn't played since spraining his left ankle on January 27. The Nets are now 3-2 since trading Kidd to Dallas in an eight-player deal.

"I couldn't have scripted it any better," Harris said of his debut. "I don't try to replace anybody, I just try to be myself."

Vince Carter and Richard Jefferson tallied 19 points each for the Nets, who have alternated wins and losses for the past seven games. Marcus Williams totaled 11 points, eight assists and five rebounds. Josh Boone ended with 14 points and seven boards, as the Nets recorded their third straight victory over the Bucks.

Michael Redd scored 33 points for the Bucks, who have lost two in a row and three of four. Maurice Williams had 24 points and seven assists, as Milwaukee fell to 6-25 as the visitor this season. Andrew Bogut netted 22 points and snagged 15 rebounds.

The Nets embarked on a 20-5 run after Harris entered the game for New Jersey with two and a half minutes to go in the first quarter. A DeSagana Diop dunk capped the run just prior to the eight-minute mark of the second quarter, which put the Nets on top 44-27.

The Nets outscored the Bucks 36-32 in the second en route to opening a 68-55 halftime cushion. The 68 points scored in the first half established a New Jersey season-high for points in a half.

Two Redd free throws and a trey from Charlie Villanueva pulled the Bucks within six points, 75-69, with 7:41 left in the third.

New Jersey's lead ballooned to 10 with 1:19 left in the third quarter, but a Redd layup and a Maurice Williams jumper in the waning minute cut the Bucks' deficit back down to six, 91-85, heading into the final 12 minutes of play.

Four straight points from Harris gave the Nets a 95-85 lead less then 90 seconds into the fourth stanza. New Jersey's lead would escalate as high as 17 points and the Nets were never tested the rest of the way.

Bostjan Nachbar scored all his points during a two and a half minute stretch in the fourth when he single handedly outscored the Bucks 13-6.

"We have to guard better, that's what it comes down to," Milwaukee head coach Larry Krystkowiak said. "We had a number of defensive breakdowns tonight."
