NBA Game Summary - Philadelphia at Atlanta

Final Score: Philadelphia 109 - Atlanta 104

Atlanta, GA (Sports Network) - Andre Iguodala scored 30 points, including his team's final 10 of the game, and doled out 10 assists to help the Philadelphia 76ers secure a playoff berth with a 109-104 victory over the Atlanta Hawks at Philips Arena.

This is the first time the Sixers are in the playoffs since the 2004-05 season.

Andre Miller poured in 23 points for the Sixers, who have won two in a row and sit in a tie with Washington for the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference, three games behind Cleveland. Samuel Dalembert and Willie Green each gave 15 points, Dalembert also hauled in 10 boards. Thaddeus Young tallied 12 points in the opener of the home-and-home series.

Joe Johnson totaled 32 points and eight assists for the Hawks, who had a five-game win streak broken. Atlanta still holds the eighth and final Eastern Conference playoff spot. Josh Childress chipped in 20 points, while Marvin Williams had 19. Josh Smith dropped 12 points and Al Horford 10.

The clubs exchanged buckets before a couple of Iguodala free throws, and a pair from Miller, made it 97-91 with about three minutes left in regulation.

On the next Atlanta possession, Childress air-balled a three-point attempt and Miller grabbed the rebound, dribbled the length of the court and knocked home a jumper for the eight-point Philadelphia cushion.

Five quick points from Johnson made it a three-point game, though, Iguodala answered with four points of his own to give the Sixers a 103-96 lead with a bit over 1 1/2 minutes left in regulation.

Four points from Johnson made it interesting, 105-102, with 22.5 ticks left.

On the inbounds pass, Iguodala received the ball and was immediately fouled. He hit both shots for the 107-102 lead.

On Atlanta's next possession, Johnson missed a trey and the ball caromed out of bounds, as Philadelphia gained possession to seal the win.

"We just got to put this game behind us, go to Philly and get us a win," Johnson said. "It's a tough loss, but that's part of the NBA, man."

The Sixers jumped out to a 28-19 lead after the first frame.

The Hawks clawed to within striking distance, 51-46, at halftime.

Five straight points from Johnson tied the game at 55 with about four minutes gone in the third quarter.

The lead see-sawed until an Iguodala three with 0.4 seconds left put the Sixers ahead 77-74 heading into the final 12 minutes of play.

"We still got some work to do," Iguodala said. "We definitely want to continue to move up, I think the main thing is to play well."

A Dalembert goaltending call on Smith's attempted putback layup knotted the game at 83 with about eight minutes remaining in the contest.
