Miami, FL (Sports Network) - Rodney Stuckey recorded 19 points, four assists and three steals, as the Pistons reserves had their way with the hapless Miami Heat in a 91-75 decision.

Tayshaun Prince logged 14 points and six rebounds for the Pistons, who are locked in as the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference. Detroit, which has won five in a row, received 10 points apiece from Jason Maxiell, Arron Afflalo, Juan Dixon and Jarvis Hayes.

"I thought we really protected the rim a lot," Detroit coach Flip Saunders said. "I thought our young guys came in and did a nice job and found a way to finish."

Miami dropped its seventh straight game and 31st home affair, breaking its franchise record set in the 1989-90 season, the Heat's second campaign in the league. Earl Barron scored a team-high 20 points, while Chris Quinn and Mark Blount added 14 and 10 points, respectively. Ricky Davis pulled down a game- high nine rebounds to go along with 11 points.

Miami actually jumped out to a 9-2 lead to begin to game, with Barron accounting for seven Heat points. The Heat suddenly went cold, however, as their four-minute scoring drought allowed Detroit to take a 19-16 lead after one period of play.

The offensive woes continued for Miami, as the squad netted just 11 points on four field goals in the second quarter. Detroit took a 39-27 lead into halftime.

Miami's 27 points were the fewest Detroit had given up in a first half this season.

"We have not really established a driving game since Dwyane (Wade) has been out, so most of the time we are relegated to jumpers," Miami coach Pat Riley said. "That is where we were tonight; we could not make much and could not get much of a run going."

After the break, Miami still found trouble filling the bucket, with Detroit holding the lowest-scoring team in the league to one field goal, a Davis three-pointer, in the opening six minutes of the quarter. Detroit took its biggest lead of the game, 53-32, at the 6:25 mark on a Prince throwdown.

The Heat showed a little fight for the remainder of the third, hitting four three-pointers and cutting the lead to 68-54 with 12 minutes left.

Davis drilled a three-pointer to beat the shot clock with a little over eight minutes remaining to cut the deficit to 70-61. Detroit immediately responded with a 10-0 run to put the game out of reach, and Miami never challenged again.
