Memphis, TN (Sports Network) - Rashad McCants scored 23 points off the bench as the Minnesota Timberwolves defeated the Memphis Grizzlies, 114-105.

Kirk Snyder added 22 points and 11 rebounds for the T-Wolves, who have won two in a row after dropping their previous six contests. Al Jefferson had 21 points and 10 boards, while Randy Foye netted 16 points. Ryan Gomes collected 11 points to go with his 12 rebounds.

Mike Conley ended with 25 points for the Grizzlies, who have alternated wins and losses for the past seven games. Rudy Gay gave 22 points and Hakim Warrick 16. Andre Brown had 13 points and 18 rebounds. Kyle Lowry tallied 10 points.

Memphis was without guard Mike Miller, who had back spasms.

The T'Wolves built up a 43-25 lead after the first stanza, but the Grizz fought back and cut their deficit to 62-55 at the break.

Two Warrick free throws brought Memphis as close as six points with just over 10 1/2 minutes left in the third. However, Gomes answered with a jumper that sparked a 12-2 Minnesota run, putting the T-Wolves ahead 76-60.

The teams traded baskets and Minnesota's lead hovered around 15 until the Grizzlies scored five of the final seven points of the third to cut it to 89-77 heading into the final 12 minutes of play.

Six unanswered points from Lowry, Conley and Brown brought Memphis within 10, 98-88, with a bit over eight minutes left in regulation.

The teams battled back and forth but the Grizzlies were unable to close within nine points the rest of the way.
