Duke Blue Devils had been through a lot of action this season 2010-11. They were the champions last 2010 and with the Madness around the corner, the Dukes prepare for another try.

At the beginning, the team brought lots of expectations, especially when Nolan Smith and Kyle Singler returned for more. Also with Kyrie Irving who is replaced Jon Sheyer conformed a line of the most talented players at the moment.

Sadly, Irving got a serious toe injury after 8 games, since that, Irving has been at the sidelines. Possibilities for his return are pending in a rope.

With Irving out, Nolan Smith and Kyle Singler took the team on their shoulders and gave the Dukes a 24-2 record with a close call on getting a third 30-win season. Even if they don´t get national championship, this definitely was a good season for them. Both players will be leaving college soon, and they will be playing at the NBA.

Kyle Singer is the type of player skills for the NBA. He is versatile, fast and tall, also a great shooter who can easily hand the ball and take advantage of his stature to make rebounds. The only factor against him is that he hasn´t been NPOY as he was expected. However, NBA scouts will know what kind of skill they will be getting with Kyle on their files. A good shooter with knows how to defend and make rebounds.

Nolan Smith has made lots of efforts to increase his chances on his draft statistics. Nolan is an offense player, he can score easily, he is swift and has a talent to find opening in the rival team. He also is one of the major candidates to win the NPOY. He leads in score and assists and if he reaches the award, he will be the first player in ACC to achieve the honor if he kept his leadership on the boards. Nolan may be chosen on the first round of the NBA draft. A lot of teams in the NBA would like to have a player with his skills on their lines.

Kyrie Irwing gave enough demonstrations during his 8 month with Dukes to leave scouts of the NBA real impressed. Kyrie has a natural talent that can be exploited by any big team. He is quick, agile and a terrific shooter; also he has a solid mid-range game. However, it´s difficult to say if Kyrie will declare for the draft due to his injury. So maybe we probably will be seeing Irwing for the following season draft or maybe the next year.
