What are the possibilities of Pac-10 Conference teams on this March Madness 2011

Mostly all the teams of the conference have a good chance to be invited in this famous event, however not all will get that honor. In the past season, only two teams represented the conference. Nothing has been said yet; but the chances to get more teams inside the tournament this year have increased considerably. Let´s take a small review of the Pac-10 team´s chances to be part of the 68th chosen ones.

Starting with Arizona, the guys from ASU will need to make it through all opposition teams in the conference tournament to get a decent chance to participate in madness, however, ASU has many flaws and I don´t think they could fix them in just a few days for the event, so they maybe won´t be able to make it.

Oregon State had a good start, and maybe they could have done it if the season ended earlier two months ago. While Oregon won two home games against ASU and Arizona; they follow a rush of loses, they got stuck 5-11. The Beavers will need to do a miracle similar to ASU if they want to get in the party. I guess that won´t happen either.

What could have happened to Stanford? They began the conference season rising fast and motivated, defeating Cali and ASU; but Cardinals failed when they lost five of the next six games. Stanford has like 5 games against them and while its known that some teams make the bids having less than 20 wins by year, I don´t see Stanford making it with their actual score of 15 even if they win a few games more.

Oregon didn´t bring a spark of life at the start of the season and doubtfully cause some reactions at the beginning. However the Ducks surprised when they took their rivals Washington, Washington ST; and USC in a couple of occasions. Oregon coach made miracles parching the holes left due to departures. They have to win the tourney if they want to be selected.

Washington State is currently at the sixth place. Their development during the Pac-10 season was regular; they only won half of their conference games and no more than 2 consecutive games. WSU have to win both of their regular season games and at least reach the middle rounds of the Pac-10 tourney to get a chance in the Madness.

In the Fifth is California, is a strong team with higher chances than the mentioned teams above, though Cal has to finish the regular season and get good numbers in the Pac-10 Tourney to have an opportunity in the NCAA. Cal doesn´t have to win the Pac-10 event, but they will be having a headache on the selection day if they don%u2019t.

USC has this week to define if they will be reaching the NCAA tournament, winning over the 2 Washington schools in the conference play is crucial if they want to have a step in the Tourney. Their records and numbers are good; having won 5 of its last 6 games played. Being in the fourth place doesn´t make the chances for the USC guys easier.

For the last week of the regular season, Washington isn´t going to have an easy ride. They have UCLA and USC on their heels and they would try to take them out to reach the Tournament. USC needs to defeat them and won´t give up easily. Washington has a good team, and they will need to bring it all to keep on the road.

UCLA and Arizona are tied for the first place. UCLA won the first three games, but got ruined the next four. What are odds; the Bruins roamed all the conference with 18-4 and now is tied with Arizona for the first place in the conference. Is now to Bruins to define how they will be seed. UCLA is already in NCAA Tournament.

Arizona reigns at the Pac-10 rankings, and now fights against UCLA in the middle of a bridge without railings over a crocodile river for PAC-10 crown. Arizona has performed in ways that nobody expected at the beginning of the season, and now is going to appear in a consecutive tournament. Arizona only needs to win the two remaining games and the conference tourney; in doing so, they may get in the higher positions.
