March Madness Shining Stars

Since the beginning of this March Madness season; the adrenaline and the exciting moments of dreamed games at the court became a reality with the playing style of some players that have brought spectacular moments for their teams and their fans.

Until now the performance of some of these players has caught the eye of many, and I bet they are being already considered for those NBA talent hunters to be part of their big teams. However, let´s not compare these fresh stars with those over imprinted ego players. Not yet.

At the game the last game against West Virginia Mountaineers, Brandon skill brought Kentucky back from what in other case could have ended in defeat for the Wildcats boys. Knight made the game his own at the moment he entered the court putting a tie between the Wildcats and the Mountaineers 12-12. Before Knight, Kentucky was losing by 8, after Knight; Kentucky won by 8. Knight had 30 points and 3 rebounds.

He is one of those players with a foot already inside the NBA. Derrick William brings Arizona the upper hand over Memphis with 22 points, 10 rebounds and 6-11 shoots. Most of the game was owned by Williams. Near to finish the game; Memphis was two points below and with five seconds to go, they missed a free throw and gaining the rebound and then they put a shot with the time running out, sadly for the Memphis a shot that was rejected by Williams with a successful block. Could he be ready for the big boys of the NBA? The time will tell...

Does he have light speed or he can clone himself, Kenneth Faried was at the right moment and the right place always, he was everywhere in the court against Louisville helping to achieve a tight victory of 62 over 61. Faried got 12 points and 17 rebounds with 5 of these being offensive grabs and a couple of crucial steals. Faried played the whole game, and definitely made a huge difference for a team that has a low shot percentage in comparison with Louisville higher rate.

UTSA has one of the most prominent players at their disposal, when talking about excel performs, we must name Melvin Johnson III. Johnson brings the heart and soul when playing at the court and clearly his efforts pay as we saw it when scored 29 points for the Roadrunners against Alabama State Hornets in the last game. He owned the game and outscored UTSA overmatched rivals almost by himself by 25-21. The game ended with the roadrunners victory of 70-61 over the Hornets.
