GAME NOTES: The red-hot Loyola-Maryland Greyhounds will take on the Niagara Purple Eagles this evening in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference battle at the Gallagher Center. These two teams were slated to collide this past Friday, but due to inclement weather the game was postponed and was moved to this evening. The Greyhounds storm into this matchup riding a six-game winning streak. The last time Loyola was on the court the team posted a solid, 74-62 victory over Canisius. The recent streak has pushed the Greyhounds' league record to a solid 8-3 on the year. As for the Purple Eagles, they have dropped three of their last five games, including a tough, 76-72 setback to Fairfield this past Sunday. It was just the second loss at home for Niagara, which is now 13-7 on the season. The current skid has dropped Niagara's conference mark to just 7-4, which is only good enough for fifth place in the MAAC. The Greyhounds have been terrific over the past few weeks, but their recent run of success should come to an end this evening. Niagara will likely rebound from its recent loss at home and move its league mark to 8-4.
