Siena (14-8) at Marist (14-9)

GAME NOTES: After playing just four days ago, Siena and Marist will switch venues, as the Red Foxes will host the Saints this evening in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference battle at the McCann Center. This past Monday, the Saints defeated Marist, 76-72. It was the sixth victory in the last eight games for Siena, which is now 9-3 in league action. The Saints have struggled on the road, posting a 4-5 mark away from home. As for the Red Foxes, their loss to Siena was the second in a row. The small losing skid has dropped Marist to 8-4 in league action, placing it in a three way tie for third place with Niagara and Loyola-Maryland. With the win this week, the Saints pushed their overall lead in the all-time series to 38-22.

The Saints are one of the more balanced teams in the MAAC offensively, as the team is currently averaging 75.6 ppg, while shooting 44.4 percent from the floor. Edwin Ubiles has been the best option for Siena, as the guard is averaging 16.3 ppg. Kenny Hasbrouck has also been solid as well, netting 14.9 ppg on the season. Alex Franklin has been the main source of production in the paint, as the forward is netting 13.8 ppg to go along with a team-high 6.9 rpg. In the four-point win over Marist earlier this week, the Saints shot 45.3 percent from the floor and made 21-of-32 attempts from the foul line. Franklin posted 20 points in the win, while Ubiles contributed 15 points. Tay Fisher tallied 14 points off the bench, while Hasbrouck chipped in 10 points for Siena.

The Red Foxes have not been as successful on offense this season, as the team is netting 69.7 ppg, despite shooting a strong 45.5 percent from the floor. Jay Gavin has been the main scoring option for Marist, as the guard is posting 13.4 ppg, while shooting an impressive 43.0 percent from behind the arc. Louie McCroskey is the only other netting double-figures for Marist, as the guard is posting 12.4 ppg to go along with 5.6 rpg. However, he is dealing with a severe ankle injury and will not be ready for tonight's contest. Against Siena earlier this week, the Red Foxes posted 72 points, but it was not enough to grab a victory. Marist shot 47.2 percent from the floor and made 9-of-20 attempts from behind the arc, but the team also committed 15 turnovers. Gavin scored 15 points in the loss, while David Devezin and Ryan Schneider both contributed 15 points apiece.

Without McCroskey this could be a tough matchup for Marist. Although the Red Foxes are home, expect the Saints to sweep the regular season series.
