Princeton (5-17) at Harvard (6-18)

GAME NOTES: The Princeton Tigers kick off a four-game road trip tonight, as they take on the Harvard Crimson in Ivy League play at the Lavietes Pavilion. After opening conference action with back-to-back wins, the Tigers have gone on to suffer five straight defeats. On Saturday, Princeton dropped a heartbreaker, falling 65-63 in overtime to Brown. Now at 5-17 overall, the Tigers step away from home, having gone 0-12 between road and neutral site affairs. As for Harvard, it has dropped seven straight league decision since beginning conference play with a win over Dartmouth. The most recent of the team's setbacks came on Saturday, a 73-64 loss to Columbia. With that outcome, the Crimson dipped to 6-18 overall and 5-4 at home. In terms of the all-time series, Princeton holds a commanding 121-37 advantage over Harvard and that includes a 68-54 victory earlier this month.

The Tigers' patient style of play has them averaging 56.9 ppg on 42.8 percent shooting from the field this season. Zach Finley leads the squad in both scoring (10.6 ppg) and rebounding (5.0 rpg) and he is also knocking down 51.2 percent of his field goals. Lincoln Gunn chips in with 10.0 ppg and he is shooting a 37.5 percent from long distance. In the team's last game, Marcus Schroeder missed a game-winning three-point attempt in the closing moments of overtime, as Brown escaped Princeton with a 65-63 win. The Tigers went just 9- of-29 from beyond the arc in the game and they were dominated on the boards, 36-23. Noah Savage made 7-of-11 three-pointers for a career-best 35 points, and Finley had 12 points and four boards in the losing effort.

Harvard enters the game averaging a respectable 69.1 ppg, although it is giving up 74.2 ppg to opposing clubs. Jeremy Lin has been the Crimson's most productive player, leading the team in scoring (12.2 ppg), assists (3.4 apg) and steals (45). Drew Housman is next in line with 11.5 ppg and 2.8 apg, while Evan Harris contributes 10.4 ppg and 5.4 rpg. In the squad's last outing, Harvard shot a lackluster 37.7 percent from the floor, including a poor 7-of-26 showing from three-point land, as it was defeated by Columbia. The team went a solid 17-of-21 at the foul line, but it wasn't enough. Drew Housman guided the Crimson in defeat with 25 points and seven boards, while Harris posted 14 points and eight rebounds.

The Crimson is the better scoring team here and it should be able to outlast a Princeton club that has yet to win away from home.
