Toledo (3-18) at Bowling Green (10-9)

GAME NOTES: Still searching for their first league win, the Toledo Rockets will take on the Bowling Green Falcons in a Mid-American Conference battle at Anderson Arena.

It has been a nightmare of a season for Toledo, as the Rockets have dropped 18 of their 21 games. Toledo has dropped 12 straight matchups heading into this game, and fell to 0-7 in league play with a 59-45 setback to Akron on Saturday.

The Falcons fell to 3-4 in league play the last time the team was on the floor, as Central Michigan defeated BGSU, 64-52. It was the second loss in the last three games for Bowling Green, which is a mediocre 5-3 at home on the season.

With respect to the all-time series, the Rockets own an 83-76 advantage over Bowling Green.

What has hampered the Rockets throughout the season has been their inability to produce at the offensive end of the court, as Toledo is netting just 55.9 ppg, behind a pedestrian 41.0 percent shooting effort. Jake Barnett is the only player averaging double figures, as the guard is posting 13.6 ppg and 4.5 rpg. However, Barnett has just 37 assists on the year against 69 turnovers. Toledo's offensive woes continued in its recent setback to Akron, as the Rockets scored just 45 points. Toledo shot 41.9 percent in the matchup, but made only 1-of-11 attempts from long range and finished with 17 turnovers. Malcolm Griffin led the way with 13 points, while Barnett posted 11 points.

The Falcons have also been unable to get much going at the offensive end of the floor, as the team is netting only 61.1 ppg. Scott Thomas is pacing the team with 11.8 ppg, and is also grabbing 5.9 rpg, while Dee Brown is contributing 10.4 ppg. Bowling Green's offensive issues continued in the team's recent loss to Central Michigan, as the Falcons finished with just 52 points in the loss. BGSU shot just 38.2 percent from the floor and made only 1-of-11 attempts from behind the arc. Thomas led the way in the setback with 13 points, while Marschall tallied a double-double of 11 points and 10 rebounds. As for Brown, he finished with 10 points on a 4-of-12 showing from the field.

The Falcons have been nothing special on the season, but the Rockets have been dreadful and most likely will remain winless in league action.
