U-C-F (10-11) at East Carolina (7-14)

GAME NOTES: UCF will try to continue its dominance over East Carolina when the Knights take on the Pirates this evening in a Conference-USA tilt at Minges Coliseum.

This will be the 12th meeting between the two schools on the hardwood, and thus far the Knights have dominated ECU, winning 10 of the previous 11 matchups.

The Knights fell to 2-5 in conference action with a 55-50 setback to Tulsa on Saturday. It was the third straight loss for UCF and the seventh loss in the last nine games for UCF.

The Pirates are also coming off a loss, as the team was recently defeated by Rice, 69-58. It was the seventh loss in the last nine games for East Carolina, which has grabbed four of its seven victories on the season at home.

The Knights were bested in their recent matchup, as the team scored just 50 points in a loss to Tulsa. UCF shot just 37.3 percent from the floor and missed all 12 of its three-point attempts. Keith Clanton led the way with 17 points in the loss, while Marcus Jordan tallied 10 points and five assists. Producing at the offensive end of the floor has been a major issue for UCF, as the team is netting just 66.1 ppg. The Knights are shooting 43.6 percent from the field, which is not terrible, but from long range the team has struggled, netting just 32.1 percent of its three-point attempts. The only player netting double figures for UCF on the season is A.J. Tyler, who is posting 10.1 ppg.

East Carolina shot a mere 31.1 percent from the field in their last matchup and suffered an 11-point loss to Rice. The Pirates made only 6-of-30 attempts from long range, and finished just 14-of-22 from the foul line. Darrius Morrow led the way in the loss with 20 points and 13 rebounds, while Brock Young contributed 14 points, despite shooting just 3-of-17 from the field. Young and Morrow have been the top two options on the floor for ECU, as Young is netting 14.9 ppg, to go along with 124 assists, while Morrow is posting 13.1 ppg and a team-best 7.0 rpg. As a whole, the Pirates have struggled at times offensively, heading into this game netting only 67.3 ppg.

Neither team has been impressive this season, and even though the Knights are on the road, look for UCF to grab a victory.
