San Francisco (8-14) at San Diego (9-14)

GAME NOTES: The Dons of San Francisco hope to change their luck on the road as they visit the San Diego Toreros for a West Coast Conference clash at Jenny Craig Pavilion.

San Diego is coming off of a convincing 66-44 win over Pepperdine on Saturday. The victory snapped a five-game losing streak for the Toreros, all versus conference opponents. The win at Pepperdine marked the team's second WCC victory, as it now sits at 2-5 in league play.

San Francisco comes into tonight's affair on a high note after upsetting visiting Gonzaga in overtime on Saturday, 81-77. Prior to that win, the Dons were on the losing end in their previous three West Coast Conference tussles. San Francisco is in pursuit of bringing itself back to .500 in conference, going 3-4 on the season thus far.

San Diego heads into the 64th matchup between these two teams with a 33-30 advantage. The last encounter saw USF defeat the Toreros, 87-71, on January 10th. Dior Lowhorn led the way for the Dons with 24 points. Brandon Johnson scored a game-high 25 points for San Diego in the loss. The victory for San Francisco snapped a five-game win streak by the Toreros in the series.

Forward Chris Manresa netted a career-high 17 points in San Diego's 66-44 victory over Pepperdine on Saturday. Manresa added 10 rebounds to complete the game's only double-double. Matt Dorr contributed 11 points in the win, while the team's leading scorer Brandon Johnson (14.5 ppg) pitched in with 11. San Diego exhibited fierce defense in the affair, holding Pepperdine to a measly 25.5 percent shooting from the floor, marking the lowest field goal percentage allowed by San Diego this season. The Toreros shot 48.1 percent from the floor in the second half, helping them go on a 20-2 run down the stretch to put the game away.

Dior Lowhorn leads San Francisco in scoring this season with his 17.5 ppg, while also grabbing a team-high 6.5 rpg. Kwame Vaughn is the only other double-digit performer for the Dons, netting 13.5 ppg. Lowhorn poured in 22 points as San Francisco defeated 17th-ranked Gonzaga on Saturday. Lowhorn went 5-of-7 from long range and helped the team by tearing down nine rebounds. Rashad Green netted 15 points in the win, while Angelo Caloiaro and Moustapha Diarra both provided solid efforts with 10 points apiece. The Dons have struggled mightily on the road this season, winning just one of eight games away from home.

With San Francisco's poor effort on the road, one must assume the streak will continue tonight in San Diego if the Toreros continue their impressive defensive play.
