Wofford was a winner at home over Elon on Wednesday, 72-56. It was the Terriers' second straight win and ninth in their last 10 outings. Wofford stands at 16-8 overall and 8-3 in the SoCon's South Division, a game-and-a- half behind division leader College of Charleston. The Terriers are 8-1 at home this season.

The Terriers beat the Spartans in Greensboro 79-62 on January 7th and Wofford now has a 14-9 edge, thanks to five straight victories.

Kendall Toney scored 17 points for the Spartans in their loss on Thursday. Kyle Randall scored 14 points, Ben Stywall added 12 points and 13 rebounds and Mikko Koivisto finished with 11 points. UNC Greensboro led by 17 at one point in the first half before taking a 36-27 lead into the break. Furman moved in front by scoring the first 10 points of the second half, then took the lead for good with 12:05 left in the game. Stywall leads the Spartans in scoring at 14.2 ppg, good for ninth in the conference. He's also leading the conference in rebounding at 10.5 boards per contest. Brandon Evans is also in double figures at 10.3 ppg. The Spartans are shooting just 37.9 percent from the floor, and only 28.4 percent from outside the arc, leading to just 63.4 ppg, while allowing 73.3 points per contest at the other end of the floor.

Jamar Diggs posted a game-high 19 points to lead the Terriers to their win on Wednesday night over Elon. Noah Dahlman added 16 points and collected eight rebounds in the win, while Tim Johnson hauled in a game-high 14 boards. Wofford led 36-25 at halftime, then stayed in front by hitting 13-of-17 foul shots in the second half. Dahlman is the top scorer on the ballclub at 17.6 ppg., good for fourth in the conference. He's the only Wofford player scoring in double figures and is hitting 58.7 percent from the floor. Tim Johnson is the Terriers' leading rebounder at 7.1 boards per contest, fifth best in the league. Brad Loesing is dealing out 3.3 assists per game. The Terriers are shooting 43.1 percent from the floor, but just 33.6 percent from long range and 66.9 percent from the foul line. They're scoring just 68.8 ppg, but are limiting opponents to only 61.9 points per contest, in part because they're averaging 7.1 steals per game.

Wofford could be within half a game of first place in the SoCon's South Division with a win tonight, and that will provide the Terriers with a powerful incentive.
