Indiana State (14-10) at Creighton (12-12)

GAME NOTES: Missouri Valley Conference foes will tangle this evening at Qwest Center, when the Creighton Bluejays host the Indiana State Sycamores.

The Sycamores fell to 6-7 in conference action the last time they were on the floor, as the team was defeated by Wichita State, 76-70. The loss snapped a three-game winning streak for Indiana State, which is now just 5-6 on the road this season.

The Bluejays were embarrassed in their last outing, as the team suffered a 70-52 setback to Missouri State. It was the second loss in the last three games for Creighton, which is now a mediocre 7-6 in MVC play.

Earlier this season the Sycamores posted a 70-64 decision over Creighton, but the Bluejays still own a comfortable, 48-23 edge in the all-time series.

Inconsistent play can be attributed to Indiana State's poor effort offensively, as the team is netting just 66.6 ppg. Harry Marshall is the only player averaging double figures on the season for Indiana State, leading the team with 13.9 ppg and 79 assists. However, Marshall has missed the last couple of games with a stress fracture in his foot, and it is unclear when he will be able to return. The Sycamores shot 54.8 percent from the floor the last time they were in action, but still fell to Wichita State by a 76-70 margin. Jordan Printy led the way in the loss with 16 points, while Carl Richard and Rashad Reed contributed 14 points apiece.

The Bluejays have also suffered through similar struggles, as the team is averaging a pedestrian 69.8 ppg on the year. Kenny Lawson Jr is the only player netting double figures for Creighton, as the forward is posting 12.2 ppg, to go along with a team-best 6.4 rpg. Creighton's struggles offensively continued in the team's recent loss to Missouri State, as the Bluejays shot just 35.8 percent from the floor, en route to a 52-point showing. Creighton connected on just 4-of-21 attempts from behind the arc, and finished only 10- of-17 from the foul line. Lawson Jr once again paced the team, as the center scored 15 points in the setback, while Josh Jones contributed 10 points.

Neither team has performed well offensively, so do not expect a high-scoring affair. The Bluejays are at home, and that should give Creighton the slight edge.
