GAME NOTES: Mid-American Conference foes collide this evening when the Buffalo Bulls host the Eastern Michigan Eagles at Alumni Arena.

The last time the Eagles were on the floor the team grabbed a 70-61 victory over Ohio. It was the second win in the last three games for Eastern Michigan, which is now 4-6 in conference action.

As for the Bulls, they captured their first-ever victory at Toledo, by defeating the Rockets, 65-59. It was just the second win in the last seven games for Buffalo, which is an even 5-5 in league play.

In regard to the all-time series between the two schools on the hardwood, the Bulls own a slim, 8-7 ledger over Eastern Michigan.

The Eagles have a trio of reliable performers, beginning with Brandon Bowdry, who is leading the team with 16.0 ppg and 10.0 rpg. Carlos Medlock, who is leading the team with 81 assists, is netting 15.7 ppg, while Justin Dobbins comes into this matchup with 12.1 ppg. As a whole however, the Eagles are only posting 66.1 ppg. The last time EMU was on the floor the team shot a solid 48.1 percent from the floor, and was led by Medlock, who exploded for 31 points. Bowdry and Dobbins both tallied double-doubles in the win, as Bowdry finished with 17 points and 15 boards, while Dobbins tallied 12 points, to go along with 10 rebounds.

The Bulls have not been overwhelming offensively, but the team has done just enough to land in the win column 12 times. Buffalo is producing 73.5 ppg, and is being led by Rodney Pierce, who is averaging 18.7 ppg. Calvin Betts has also been solid, and comes into this game netting 11.2 ppg, to go along with 7.2 rpg. The last time Buffalo was on the floor the team only scored 65 points, but that was enough to get past Toledo. Buffalo shot 50.0 percent from the floor and used a 16-point effort by Pierce to capture the win. Betts added 11 points, while Max Boudreau also tallied 11 points off the bench.

The Bulls are coming off a hard-fought road win, and should be riding high off the momentum. However, expect a letdown performance by Buffalo, as the Eagles earn the conference win here.
