Wofford (17-8) at Furman (11-12)

GAME NOTES: The Wofford Terriers begin a four-game road swing tonight, as they square off against the Furman Paladins in Southern Conference play at Timmons Arena.

The Terriers are on a major roll, as they have won four straight and 10 of their last 11 outings. On Saturday, Wofford defeated UNC Greensboro, 77-59, to improve to 17-8 overall. The Terriers are now 9-3 in conference play, as they are making a push for the South Division title.

As for Furman, it is set to conclude a three-game homestand tonight. The Paladins opened the homestand with a win over UNC Greensboro before falling to Elon, 66-55, on Saturday. The team is now just 11-12 overall and 5-7 in conference action.

Furman leads the all-time series with Wofford, 80-42, but the Terriers notched a 57-46 victory in the first meeting on January 30th.

The Terriers connected on 57.5 percent of their attempts from the field and 7- of-18 from long distance, as they defeated UNCG over the weekend. Wofford was also stingy on defense, holding UNCG to a dismal 34.5 percent shooting effort from the floor. Kevin Giltner led the way with 14 points, while Junior Salters had 13. Noah Dahlman tacked on 10 points and four boards and he remains the team's leading scorer for the season at 17.3 ppg. Jamar Diggs is a distant second with 8.5 ppg for the balanced Terriers, who are scoring 69.1 ppg as a team.

The Paladins shot a miserable 33.3 percent from the floor, including a dismal 2-of-19 showing from long distance, as they were downed by Elon this past weekend. Amu Saaka had a double-double of 22 points and 10 rebounds to lead the squad in the loss, while Jordan Miller chipped in with 11 points. For the season, Saaka tops the roster in scoring (16.3 ppg) as well as rebounding (7.3 rpg) and he also has some range, shooting 37.1 percent from beyond the arc. Miller helps from a solid tandem, as he puts forth 14.2 ppg and 4.3 rpg.

Wofford is red-hot at the moment and should be able to start a long road trip with a win over an inconsistent Furman club tonight.
