Central Michigan (11-11) at Ohio University (13-11)

GAME NOTES: The Convocation Center will be the site for a Mid-American Conference bout between the Ohio University Bobcats and the Central Michigan Chippewas.

The Chippewas have suffered back-to-back loss, including a 56-52 setback to Akron on Tuesday. The minor skid has dropped Central Michigan to 6-4 in conference action.

As for the Bobcats, they have won four of their last six games, including a 90-74 victory over Western Michigan on Tuesday. With the recent win over the Broncos, the Bobcats pushed their league mark to 4-6 on the season.

In regard to the all-time series between the two schools on the hardwood, the Bobcats hold a commanding, 42-24 edge over Central Michigan.

The Chippewas struggled offensively the last time they took the floor, as the team scored just 52 points in a loss to Akron. Central Michigan shot a woeful 28.6 percent from the field, and finished just 8-of-24 from behind the arc, and only 8-of-16 shots from the charity stripe. Jordan Bitzer led the way in the setback with 20 points, while Robbie Harman tallied 13 points. Bitzer and Harman have been the only two players putting forth a consistent effort at the offensive end of the floor. Bitzer is pacing the team with 14.0 ppg, and is also pulling down 5.0 rpg, while Harman is contributing 13.7 ppg and 3.0 apg.

The Bobcats exploded in their last game, scoring 90 points in a victory over Western Michigan. Ohio shot a sizzling 54.2 percent from the field and also connected on 14-of-23 attempts from behind the arc. Tommy Freeman exploded for 30 points in the win, while Armon Bassett added 21 points, to go along with nine assists. Kenneth van Kempen tallied 12 points and eight rebounds, while D.J. Cooper posted 11 points, nine rebounds and eight assists. Leading the way in the scoring column is Bassett at 14.2 ppg. Cooper has also been a solid on the year, posting 13.3 ppg, to go along with 5.1 rpg and a team-high 136 assists.

The Bobcats are coming off one of their best performances of the season and should be able to ride that momentum this evening en route to a conference victory at home.
