GAME NOTES: Sun Belt Conference foes will collide this evening at the Jack Stephens Center, when the Arkansas-Little Rock Trojans host the UL-Monroe Warhawks.
The last time UL-Monroe was in action the team grabbed a thrilling, 67-66 victory over Western Kentucky. The win snapped a two-game slide for the Warhawks and also pushed their league mark to 5-8 on the year.
As for the Trojans, they saw their two-game winning streak come to an end with a 77-51 lopsided loss to UL-Lafayette. With the setback, the Trojans fell to 3-9 in Sun Belt play. Success for UALR this season has come at home, where the team has collected all seven of its victories.
Back in January the Warhawks grabbed a 68-64 victory over the Trojans. Despite the loss, Arkansas-Little Rock clings to an 8-7 edge over UL-Monroe in the all-time series.
The Warhawks have been unable to find a groove offensively this season and head into this game netting just 68.0 ppg. Dynile Forbes is leading the team with 12.1 ppg, while Tony Hooper is netting 11.4 ppg, to go along with a team- best 56 assists. However, Hooper was not on the floor in the last game and it is unclear when he will return. The last time ULM was on the floor the team only scored 67 points, but it was enough in a one-point win over Western Kentucky. The Warhawks shot 45.1 percent from the floor and made 8-of-16 attempts from behind the arc. Forbes led the way in the win with 22 points, while Rudy Turner posted 11 points, eight rebounds and six blocks.
The Trojans were ice cold in their last contest, as the team scored just 51 points in a loss to UL-Lafayette. UALR shot a miserable 25.0 percent from the floor and missed all 13 of its three-point attempts. Not one player tallied double figures in the loss, as Solomon Bozeman paced the team with nine points. Bozeman comes into this contest netting 14.6 ppg, and has also dished out a team-best 101 assists. Alex Garcia-Mendoza is contributing 11.4 ppg and 5.1 rpg for UALR, which as a whole is producing a lackluster 68.0 ppg.
The Trojans were awful in their last contest, but look for them to rebound this evening at home against a struggling UL-Monroe squad.

Where the players come to play and STAY.
