Cornell (20-3) at Penn (3-15)

GAME NOTES: The red-hot Cornell Big Red begin a four-game road trip tonight, as they head to Philadelphia to take on the Penn Quakers in Ivy League play at The Palestra.

At 6-0, the Big Red is one of two teams still unbeaten in the Ivy League and it will clash with the other, Princeton, tomorrow night in New Jersey. Cornell is sizzling at the moment, having won eight straight, including a 74-60 besting of Brown on Saturday. The Big Red are now a healthy 20-3 overall, with two of their losses coming to top-ranked Kansas and second-ranked Syracuse.

As for the Quakers, they are set to kick off a five-game homestand tonight, but that isn't necessarily good news for a team that is 0-6 at home this season. Most recently, Penn suffered an 80-68 setback at Harvard on Saturday. The loss snapped a two-game win streak and dropped the squad to 3-15 overall and 2-2 in conference play.

Penn leads the all-time series with Cornell, 142-70, but the Big Red have won the last four meetings, and by an average of 13.5 ppg.

Cornell shot a sound 49.2 percent from the field and dominated the boards, 39-27, as it defeated Brown on Saturday. Jeff Foote led the charge with 17 points and nine rebounds, while Ryan Wittman and Louis Dale had 14 points apiece. Wittman currently tops the roster in scoring at 17.3 ppg and he dangerous from behind the arc, shooting at a 40.8 percent rate. Foote is the main target down in the paint with 12.7 ppg and a team-best 8.6 rpg to his credit, while Dale adds 11.1 ppg and a team-high 4.9 apg.

Penn went only 6-of-23 from long range compared to a 10-of-21 effort by Harvard, as it was downed last weekend. The Quakers also lost the battle on the boards, 37-27, including a 16-10 difference on the offensive glass. Zack Rosen and Dan Monckton each tallied 19 points to lead Penn, while Jack Eggleston tacked on 13 points and five rebounds. On the season, Rosen is the team's top scorer at 16.7 ppg and he is a 39.6 percent three-point shooter. Eggleston, who grabs 6.6 rpg, is the only other player on the squad scoring in double figures, with 12.3 ppg.

The Big Red are the team-to-beat in the Ivy League and they should have no trouble proving that at Penn tonight.
