Dartmouth (4-16) at Brown (7-16)

GAME NOTES: Still searching for their first win in conference play, the Dartmouth Big Green battle the Brown Bears this evening in an Ivy League affair at the Pizzitola Center.

The Big Green have struggled all season long, including their current five consecutive games. The last time Dartmouth was on the floor the team suffered a 54-38 setback to Princeton, falling to 0-6 in league action.

The Bears have also lost five straight games, including a 74-60 setback to Cornell last Saturday. The loss to the Big Red dropped Brown to 1-5 in league play. The Bears have struggled at home this season, posting just a 3-6 mark at the Pizzitola Center.

In regard to the all-time series between the two schools on the hardwood, the Big Green hold a 75-64 edge over Brown.

The Big Green put forth a pitiful effort in their last contest, as the team scored just 38 points in a loss to Princeton. Dartmouth shot just 36.4 percent from the floor, and was dominated on the glass by a 33-21 margin. Robby Pride was the only player in double figures for Dartmouth, as the guard tallied 10 points in the loss. The Big Green have really had problems at the offensive end of the floor throughout the season, posting just 53.3 ppg, behind a weak 38.3 percent shooting effort. David Rufful, who netted nine points in the loss to Princeton, is tied with Ronnie Dixon for the team-lead in scoring at 8.1 ppg.

The Bears have also struggled offensively, netting just 65.9 ppg on the year. Leading the way for Brown has been Matt Mullery, who is posting 15.3 and a team-best 6.0 rpg. Peter Sullivan is also averaging double figures, as the guard is helping out with 11.1 ppg. The last time the Bears were on the floor the team scored just 60 points in a loss to Cornell. The Bears shot a mediocre 42.1 percent from the floor, but finished just 5- of-19 from behind the arc. Mullery led the way in the setback with 21 points, six rebounds and five assists, while Tucker Halpern tallied 14 points off the bench.

Neither team has played well this year, but the Bears are home, which is a clear advantage considering Dartmouth is winless on the road.
