As for the Tribe, they are coming off a 67-54 victory over Delaware. It was the second straight win for William & Mary, which is now 9-5 in CAA action. The majority of the Tribe's success has come at home where the team is 9-2 on the season.
The all-time series between the Huskies and Tribe is currently knotted at three games apiece, but all three wins for William & Mary have come at home.
Defense has been the key to Northeastern's success this season, as the team is holding opponents to just 60.2 ppg. The Huskies continued their tenacious defensive play in their recent win over Georgia State, as Northeastern held the Panthers to just 53 points on a 37.7 percent shooting effort. At the other end of the floor the team shot 51.2 percent from the field, and was paced by Matt Janning's 21-point effort. Chaisson Allen added 19 points in the win, while Manny Adako posted 11 points. On the season, the team has relied on Janning offensively, as the guard is averaging 15.4 ppg. Allen is posting 14.4 ppg for Northeastern, and that comes along with a team-best 97 assists.
The Tribe have relied on two players to lead the way offensively, as David Schneider and Quinn McDowell have paved the way this season. Schneider is leading the team with 15.8 ppg and 6.2 rpg and has also dished out 66 assists on the year. As for McDowell, he is netting 14.6 ppg, while shooting 44.2 percent from long range. The last time the Tribe was on the floor the team posted a victory over Delaware behind a 51.2 percent shooting effort. Schneider led the way in the win with 16 points and eight rebounds, while Marcus Kitts tallied 13 points, five assists and five rebounds. As for McDowell, he posted 11 points and six boards.
Both teams have been solid defensively, but the Huskies have more consistent production at the offensive end of the floor and should be able to grab a victory on the road.
