GAME NOTES: Reed Gym will be the stage for a Big Sky Conference tilt, as the Idaho State Bengals host the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks.
The Lumberjacks suffered a 76-66 setback to Weber State on Friday. It was the third straight loss for Northern Arizona, which is now a mere 5-7 in conference action.
As for the Bengals, they enter this matchup with a four-game skid in tow. The last time Idaho State was on the floor, the team fell to 3-9 in Big Sky play with a 68-59 setback to Northern Colorado.
Earlier this season the Lumberjacks defeated Idaho State, 68-56. However, despite the loss, the Bengals still hold a slim, 44-41 edge over Northern Arizona in the all-time series.
The Lumberjacks have been mildly inconsistent at the offensive end of the floor, as the team is netting just 69.6 ppg. Cameron Jones has been one of the top players in the conference and comes into this matchup netting 18.7 ppg, to go along with 4.9 rpg and 3.0 apg. Shane Johannsen has also been a solid contributor this year, as the big man is netting 10.6 ppg, and is also pulling down 5.4 rpg. The last time NAU was on the floor the team shot 55.1 percent from the floor, but still suffered a 76-66 setback to Weber State. Jones led the way in the loss with 24 points, while DeAngelo Jones posted 12 points.
The Bengals put forth a lackluster showing in their last matchup, as the team scored just 59 points in a loss to Northern Colorado. Idaho State shot 44.4 percent from the floor, but finished just 2-of-9 from behind the arc. Broderick Gilchrest led the way with 20 points and five assists, while Demetrius Monroe tallied 15 points off the bench. Producing at the offensive end of the floor has been a major issue for the Bengals throughout the season, as the team is netting just 65.7 ppg. Amorrow Morgan is currently leading the team with 16.9 ppg, while Gilchrest is contributing 15.8 ppg, to go along with 3.1 apg.
The Bengals have struggled throughout the season and even though the team is home, look for Jones to lead the Lumberjacks to victory this evening.

Where the players come to play and STAY.
