GAME NOTES: The Hilltoppers will try to continue their dominance over Arkansas-Little Rock when the Trojans host Western Kentucky this evening in a Sun Belt Conference tilt at the Jack Stephens Center.

The Hilltoppers currently own a 30-10 edge over UALR in the all-time series, and that includes a four-game winning streak.

The last time WKU was on the floor the team grabbed a 79-68 victory over Arkansas State. It was the third win in the last five games for the Hilltoppers, who are 7-6 in conference action on the season.

As for the Trojans, they are coming off a tough, 67-64 setback to UL-Monroe. It was the second straight loss for Arkansas-Little Rock, which is now just 3-10 in conference play.

The Hilltoppers put forth a strong effort in their last game, as the team shot 51.8 percent from the floor, en route to a victory over Arkansas State. Sergio Kerusch led the way with 21 points and eight rebounds, while AJ Slaughter also tallied 21 points, to go along with seven assists. Jeremy Evans added 13 points and nine boards, while Steffphon Pettigrew helped out with 11 points and five assists. On the season the team has relied on the tandem of Slaughter and Pettigrew, as Slaughter is pacing the team with 17.1 ppg and 108 assists, while Pettigrew is netting 15.2 ppg, to go along with 6.2 rpg. As for Kerusch, he has missed 14 games this season, but his return to the floor gives WKU another option, as the guard is netting 14.1 ppg, to go along with 6.5 rpg.

The Trojans have been rather inconsistent at the offensive end of the floor this season, as the team is netting just 67.8 ppg. Solomon Bozeman is pacing the team with 14.6 ppg, and has also dished out a team-best 105 assists. Alex Garcia-Medoza has given the team a solid option in the paint, as the forward is netting 11.5 ppg, to go along with 5.2 rpg. The last time UALR was on the floor the team only scored 64 points in a loss to UL-Monroe. The Trojans shot 42.0 percent from the field, but finished just 4-of-14 from behind the arc. Bozeman and Garcia-Mendoza both finished with 15 points and six rebounds apiece in the loss.

The Hilltoppers have been up and down throughout the season, but the return of Kerusch really gives this team another weapon, which makes WKU a solid contender tonight and down the stretch.
