Miami-Ohio (11-13) at Bowling Green (12-11)

GAME NOTES: The Miami-Ohio RedHawks will try to remain in the win column when they take on the Bowling Green Falcons this afternoon in a Mid-American Conference tussle at Anderson Arena.

The RedHawks have been red-hot, winning five straight games, including a 55-47 decision over Toledo in their last matchup. With the recent run, the RedHawks have pushed their conference record to 8-3 on the year.

The Falcons snapped a two-game losing skid with a 73-69 victory over Northern Illinois in their last contest. The win over the Huskies pushed the team's conference mark to just 5-6 on the season.

Earlier this season the RedHawks collected a 64-52 victory over Bowling Green, pushing their lead in the all-time series to 75-47.

The RedHawks might be playing at a high level, but the team has struggled at the offensive end of the floor this season, netting just 62.2 ppg. Kenny Hayes is the only player netting double figures, averaging 14.3 ppg, to go along with 3.2 apg. The last time the RedHawks were in action the team only scored 55 points, but that was enough for them to grab a victory over Toledo. Miami- Ohio shot 46.3 percent from the field in the matchup, and finished with just nine turnovers. Hayes led the way with 14 points and five assists, while Antonio Ballard tallied 13 points, to go along with seven rebounds.

The Falcons have also struggled offensively this season, as the team is posting just 61.5 ppg, behind a 43.1 percent shooting effort. Scott Thomas is pacing the team with 12.5 ppg, but is also contributing 6.1 rpg and has dished out 60 assists. Dee Brown is the only other player netting double-figures, as the guard is helping out with 10.9 ppg. The last time the Falcons were on the floor the team shot 51.9 percent from the field and finished with a four-point win over Northern Illinois. Thomas exploded for 26 points in the matchup, while Brown contributed 14 points.

Neither team has been overwhelming offensively, but the RedHawks has played well at the other end of the court. However, Miami-Ohio has struggled away from home and should see its win streak come to an end this afternoon.
