Toledo (3-22) at Central Michigan (11-12)

GAME NOTES: Still without a win in league play, the Toledo Rockets will take on the Central Michigan Chippewas in a Mid-American Conference battle this afternoon at the Rose Center.

The Rockets dropped their 15th straight matchup the last time they were in action, as the team suffered a 55-47 setback to Miami-Ohio. It was the 11th league loss on the year for Toledo, which has dropped all 11 of its road matchups this year.

The Chippewas suffered their third consecutive loss with an 89-76 setback to Ohio on Thursday. The loss dropped Central Michigan to 6-4 in league play, which leaves the team tied for first place in the West Division with Ball State.

The Rockets own a comfortable 53-28 edge over Central Michigan in the all-time series, but the Chippewas grabbed a win over Toledo earlier this season with a 59-48 decision.

The Rockets have been atrocious at the offensive end of the floor and head into this game netting just 55.4 ppg. Jake Barnett is the only player averaging double figures, as the guard is posting 13.3 ppg, to go along with 4.4 rpg. The last time Toledo was on the floor the team scored just 47 points in a loss to Miami-Ohio. Toledo shot just 39.5 percent from the floor and finished 4-of-14 from behind the arc. Justin Anyijong led the way in the loss with 16 points and nine rebounds, while Larry Bastfield tallied 10 points. As for Barnett, he finished with just seven points in the loss.

The Chippewas have also struggled offensively, as the team is producing just 64.2 ppg, behind a 40.7 percent shooting effort. Robbie Harman is currently leading the team with 14.4 ppg and is dishing out 3.0 apg, while Jordan Bitzer is posting 14.1 ppg, to go along with 4.8 rpg. The last time the Chippewas were in action the team shot just 39.3 percent, in a loss to Ohio. Harman exploded in the loss, connecting on 9-of-14 three-point attempts, while finishing with 31 points. As for Bitzer, he finished with 16 points, despite shooting a woeful 3-of-16 from the floor.

The Rockets have struggled greatly this season and there is no reason to expect much of a change this weekend, especially on the road, where the team has yet to win a game.
