Southeast Missouri State (7-19) at Murray State (24-3)

GAME NOTES: Murray State will attempt to clinch the Ohio Valley Conference championship and remain flawless in league action when the Racers host the Southeast Missouri State Redhawks at the Regional Special Events Center this evening.

The last time the Redhawks were on the floor the team suffered a 73-54 setback to Morehead State. It was the fourth loss in a row for Southeast Missouri State, which is a mere 3-12 in league action.

The Racers are currently 15-0 in league play, and have won the last 22 straight regular season Ohio Valley matchups. The Racers have also won 15 consecutive matchups overall, which ties the team with Butler for the nation's longest winning streak. The last time Murray State was on the floor the team grabbed a 75-67 victory over Jacksonville State.

The Racers have won the last six meetings against SEMO, and now hold a commanding 46-16 edge in the all-time series.

The last time the Redhawks took the floor they were ice cold, shooting just 37.8 percent from the floor, en route to a 54-point performance and a loss to Morehead State. SEMO finished just 6-of-19 from behind the arc and was led by Cameron Butler, who netted 12 points. Anthony Allison added 11 points, while Derek Thompson chipped in with nine points. Allison is the only player netting double figures for SEMO on the season, as the guard is posting 10.8 ppg. As a whole the team is netting just 64.3 ppg on the season, and that comes on a mediocre 42.0 percent shooting effort.

The Racers are a dangerous team offensively, and come into this matchup averaging 78.7 ppg, behind an outstanding 51.1 percent shooting effort. B.J. Jenkins is one of six players averaging double figures, netting 10.7 ppg, to go along with 96 assists. Tony Easley is contributing 10.5 ppg, to go along with team highs in rebounds (5.6 rpg) and blocks (68). In the team's recent win over Jacksonville State, the Racers shot 48.9 percent from the floor and also connected on 27-of-33 attempts from the foul line. Easley led the way in the win with 19 points, while Isacc Miles and Isaiah Canaan posted 12 points apiece.

The Racers are clearly the class of the OVC, and should have no trouble getting past a weak Southeast Missouri State squad this evening and earning the conference crown.
