(13) Gonzaga (21-4) at Loyola Marymount (13-13)

GAME NOTES: The 13th-ranked Gonzaga Bulldogs begin their final road trip of the campaign tonight, as they invade Gersten Pavilion to take on the Loyola Marymount Lions in a West Coast Conference bout.

Winners of four straight, the Bulldogs have taken a firm grip on the WCC, as they are 9-1 in league play. Last week, Gonzaga downed Saint Mary's, 80-61, in a battle for the top spot before defeating San Diego, 82-65, on Saturday. Now at 21-4 overall, the Bulldogs return to the road, where they have gone 4-1 against conference foes.

The Lions meanwhile, saw their short two-game win streak come to a close with a 75-66 setback at San Francisco on Saturday. With the loss, LMU is now a level 13-13 overall and resides in the bottom half of the WCC standings at 4-6.

As for the all-time series, Gonzaga holds a 53-20 advantage over LMU and the Bulldogs have won the last five meetings, including an 85-69 triumph in Spokane last month.

The Bulldogs shot an efficient 56.3 percent from the floor, as they coasted past San Diego on Saturday. Gonzaga also went 24-of-36 at the foul line, in addition to holding a 34-27 advantage on the boards. Steven Gray led the charge with 19 points, while Matt Bouldin had 16 points and five rebounds. Bouldin continues to pace the Bulldogs in scoring with an average of 16.3 ppg for the season and the 40.0 percent three-point shooter also hands out a team- high 4.0 apg. Elias Harris, the team's top rebounder at 7.8 rpg, adds 15.4 ppg and he is netting an even better 18.6 ppg in conference play. Gray chips in with 13.4 ppg for Gonzaga, while Robert Sacre tacks on 10.3 ppg and 5.3 rpg.

The Lions went just 2-of-11 from long range and were outscored at the foul line, 22-12, in 75-66 loss at San Francisco on Saturday. Vernon Teel was one of the few bright spots for LMU, as he turned in an all-around effort of 28 points, eight rebounds and five assists. A jack of all trades, Teel averages 14.9 ppg on the season, to go with 5.5 rpg and a team-high 6.1 apg. Drew Viney, who had 10 points last game, leads the team in scoring (16.9 ppg) and rebounding (6.9 rpg) and he also shoots 41.7 percent from downtown. Jarred DuBois chips in with 12.9 ppg, and Kevin Young rounds out the double-digit scorers with 11.0 ppg.

Gonzaga is in complete control of the WCC and it should be able to move one step closer to clinching the title with a win over LMU tonight.
