Arkansas-Little Rock (7-19) at North Texas (18-8)

GAME NOTES: Riding their longest winning streak since 2007, the North Texas Mean Green entertain the Arkansas-Little Rock Trojans today in a Sun Belt Conference matchup at The Super Pit.

The Mean Green are red-hot coming into the day, having won five straight and seven of their past eight outings. The five victories in a row is the team's longest run since 2007 and a triumph today would give the program its longest streak since the 1991-92 squad ran off eight straight wins. NT, which trounced Houston Baptist in a non-league affair on Monday, is currently tied with four other teams for the best record in the SBC at 10-5.

As for the Trojans, they enter the tilt stuck in a four-game losing skid that includes a 62-57 loss at Denver on Thursday. The loss was the 13th in as many road games this season for UALR, which is now 7-19 overall and jut 3-12 within the conference.

UALR leads the head-to-head series with NT, 14-5, the Mean Green posted an 83-78 victory in the first meeting of the season.

The Trojans were outscored, 14-3, at the onset of the game and never fully recovered in a 62-57 loss at Denver on Thursday. UALR, which never led in the game, shot only 37.0 percent from the floor and went just 17-of-29 at the foul line. Solomon Bozeman guided the team in the setback with 16 points and three helpers, while Matt Mouzy chipped in with 11 points. One of two players to start every game for UALR, Bozeman heads the team in scoring (14.2 ppg) as well as assists (4.3 apg). Alex Garcia-Mendoza, the other player to start each game, follows with 11.0 ppg and 5.0 rpg, while Mouzy tacks on 10.3 pg coming off the bench.

The Mean Green shot a sizzling 55.6 percent from the floor, including a 10- of-17 showing from downtown, as it breezed past HBU earlier in the week. NT also hit on 27-of-34 free throws, in addition to holding a 42-30 advantage on the glass. Josh White poured in 28 points to lead the assault, while George Odufuwa registered a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds. On the season, White tops the roster in scoring at 15.0 ppg and he shoots 42.0 percent from long distance. Tristan Thompson, a 42.9 percent three-point shooter, is next in order at 14.1 ppg and he averages an even better 17.5 ppg in league play. Eric Tramiel logs 13.1 ppg and 5.2 rpg for NT, while Odufuwa turns in a double-double of 11.4 ppg and a team-high 10.4 rpg.

North Texas is enjoying a terrific run right now and it should have no trouble keeping things going against a UALR club that has yet to win on the road.
