The Blue Hens trailed 37-27 at the intermission after hitting on a meager 37.5 percent of their field-goal attempts in the opening half, a deficit that the team was unable to comeback from. Alphonso Dawson scored 16 points in the game, while Adam Pegg and Hakim McCullar both added 10 points apiece. Carter leads the Blue Hens in scoring on the season, sinking 18.3 points per game, while Dawson rounds out the double-digit performers with 12.2 ppg. Delaware scores almost nine points less per game (63.9 ppg) compared to its opponent (72.8 ppg).
Carlos Strong poured in a game-high 23 points as Boston University easily handled Binghamton 93-51 on Wednesday night. John Holland netted 20 points in the rout, including the first seven points of the game. Tyler Morris dropped 18 points, while Jake O'Brien recorded his sixth-career double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds. The Terriers took a controlling 44-25 advantage into the intermission, and shot 62.1 percent in the second half en route to the impressive victory. BU held Binghamton to just 30.8 percent shooting on the night. Holland leads the team in scoring on the season, netting 18.9 ppg, followed by Corey Lowe and Jake O'Brien, netting 14.4 and 13.3 ppg, respectively.
The Terriers hope to capitalize on the momentum gained from their last outing against Binghamton and dominate an inconsistent Delaware team. Look for Boston University to come out on top behind another exceptional offensive display.
