GAME NOTES: Big Sky Conference action will take place this evening when the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks host the Eastern Washington Eagles at the Walkup Skydome.

The last time the Eagles were on the floor the team suffered a 58-54 setback to Northern Colorado. It was the eighth loss in the last 10 games for Eastern Washington, which is now just 4-9 in league play.

The Lumberjacks snapped a four-game slide with a thrilling, 86-85 double overtime victory over Portland State. With the win over the Vikings, the Lumberjacks pushed their home mark to 7-4 on the year, and brought their conference ledger to 6-8.

The Lumberjacks currently own a 32-21 edge over Eastern Washington in the all- time series, and that includes a 73-69 victory over the Eagles earlier this season.

The Eagles had their wings clipped in their last contest, as the team scored just 54 points in a loss to Northern Colorado. Eastern Washington shot a pedestrian 40.9 percent from the floor and committed 17 turnovers in the loss. Jeffrey Forbes was the only player in double figures for EWU, as the guard tallied 15 points. Glen Dean shot just 2-of-9 in the contest, finishing with eight points and six assists. Despite the lackluster effort, Dean is still leading the team with 12.3 ppg and 4.4 apg. Forbes is contributing 11.0 ppg, while Mark Dunn is helping out with 10.9 ppg and 4.7 rpg. On the season the Eagles as a whole are producing a mediocre 68.8 ppg.

The Lumberjacks needed double overtime on Thursday to get past Portland State by a one-point margin. NAU shot 50.0 percent from the floor in the matchup and was paced by Cameron Jones, who poured in 26 points. Gabe Rogers added 20 points and six assists, while Shane Johannsen and DeAngelo Jones tallied 11 and 10 points, respectively. Cameron Jones has been the best player on the floor for Northern Arizona, as the guard is posting 19.2 ppg, to go along with 4.9 rpg. Johannsen is the only other player netting double figures and comes into this game with 11.0 ppg.

The Lumberjacks might be a little worn out from playing in three overtime matchups in their last four games, but with the backing of a home crowd look for NAU to grab a victory.
