Idaho State (7-19) at Weber State (17-8)

GAME NOTES: The Weber State Wildcats can earn at least a share of the Big Sky Conference regular-season title tonight, as they host the Idaho State Bengals at the Dee Events Center.

At 11-2 within the conference, the Wildcats are in sole possession of first place, as they are two games up in the loss column on Northern Colorado. With only three games left, including tonight, WSU needs just one more win to secure a share of the league crown. There is a good chance the Wildcats will get the job done tonight, as they are 11-1 at home, including 7-0 in BSC action. The most recent of those victories was the biggest, an 81-76 triumph of Northern Colorado a week ago.

The Bengals meanwhile, are in desperate need of a late run, as they are just 4-9 within the conference and a game back of the sixth and final playoff spot for the BSC Tournament. The team most recently took a break from league play and fell 82-79 against Cal State Bakersfield on Monday. ISU will now play its final three games on the road, where it has gone just 1-13, including 0-5 against league foes.

With respect to the all-time series, WSU holds a 67-40 lead over ISU and the Wildcats took a 95-93 triple-overtime decision in the first meeting of the season.

Demetrius Monroe registered a double-double with 24 points and 12 rebounds, but it still wasn't enough for the Bengals in an 82-79 loss to Cal State Bakersfield on Monday. Broderick Gilchrest added 17 points and seven assists, while Amorrow Morgan had 13 points in the losing cause. For the season, Morgan tops the roster in scoring at 16.7 ppg and he shoots 36.9 percent from downtown. Gilchrest is hot on his tail with 16.1 ppg and he also leads the team with 3.3 apg and 53 steals.

The Wildcats are led by the trio of Damian Lillard, Steven Panos and Franklin Session, who are all scoring in double figures. Lillard, a BSC Player of the Year candidate, averages a healthy 20.2 ppg, to go with 4.2 rpg and 3.5 apg. Panos ranks second with both 11.6 ppg and 5.5 rpg, while Session produces 10.7 ppg and a team-high 6.2 rpg. In the squad's last outing, Panos tallied 29 points and nine boards to lead the Wildcats in a big win over Northern Colorado. Lillard tacked on 14 points for WSU, which shot 55.3 percent from the field, including 11-of-19 from behind the arc.

WSU is the clear choice here, as the Wildcats have been outstanding at home and can secure a part of the BSC title with a win tonight.
