GAME NOTES: A thrilling BracketBuster matchup will take place this evening in Logan, as the Utah State Aggies host the Wichita State Shockers at the D.G. Smith Spectrum.

The Shockers, who are currently 11-5 in Missouri Valley Conference play, roll into this matchup fresh off a 76-70 overtime win over Evansville. It was the sixth win in the last eight games for Wichita State.

As for the Aggies, they rest on top of the Western Athletic Conference with an 11-2 record. Utah State rolls into this contest with an 11-game winning streak and that includes a 67-61 decision over Louisiana Tech in its last contest.

In regard to the all-time series between the two schools on the hardwood, the Aggies currently hold a slim 5-4 edge over Wichita State.

The Shockers needed overtime the last time they took the floor, but the team was still able to walk away with a six-point win. Wichita State shot 46.8 percent from the floor and finished with a 22-of-35 clip from the foul line. JT Durley led the way with 16 points and nine rebounds, while Graham Hatch and Garrett Stutz tallied 14 and 13 points, respectively. Clevin Hannah tallied 11 points and six boards in the win. On the season the team is being led by Toure' Murry, who is averaging 12.4 ppg and 5.2 rpg. Hannah comes into this matchup helping out with 12.3 ppg and a team-best 119 assists, while Durley is posting 11.2 ppg.

The Aggies have been respectable at the offensive end of the floor this season, as the team is averaging 73.6 ppg. Tai Wesley is pacing the squad with 13.3 ppg and 6.4 rpg, while Jared Quayle is contributing 12.1 ppg, to go along with 111 and 6.0 rpg. The last time the Aggies were on the floor the team only scored 67 points, but still grabbed a victory over Louisiana Tech. Utah State shot 46.6 percent from the floor and was led by Wesley, who tallied 16 points and six assists. Pooh Williams added 15 points, while Quayle contributed a double-double of 13 points and 10 rebounds.

This has all the makings of a fantastic matchup between two equally matched teams. However, the Aggies are home, where they are extremely tough and that could be the deciding factor in this one.
