GAME NOTES: William & Mary will try to jump back into the win column when the Tribe host the Towson Tigers this evening in a Colonial Athletic Association tilt at Kaplan Arena.

The last time the Tribe were in action the team suffered a 78-62 loss to Manhattan in a BracketBusters duel. It was the third loss in the last four games for Towson, which is a meager 4-12 in CAA action.

The Tribe also took part in BracketBusters weekend and saw their four-game winning streak come to an end with a 69-53 loss to Iona. William & Mary will try to bounce back in league play, where the Tribe are 11-5 on the season.

In regard to the all-time series between the two schools, the Tribe own a slim, 11-9 edge over Towson.

The Tigers did not put forth a strong effort in their last game and suffered a 78-62 setback to Manhattan. Towson shot just 40.7 percent from the floor and finished just 7-of-23 from behind the arc. RaShawn Polk led the way in the loss with 16 points, while Isaiah Philmore posted 11 points. Calvin Lee and Troy Franklin tallied 10 points apiece in the setback. Lee has been the most consistent player for Towson, and comes into this game with 11.0 ppg and 5.3 rpg. Josh Thornton is contributing 10.7 ppg for Towson, which as a whole is posting a lackluster 67.1 ppg.

The last time the Tribe were in action the team put forth a terrible performance against Iona. William & Mary finished with just 53 points behind a 36.2 percent shooting effort. David Schneider led the way with 17 points, while Quinn McDowell and Danny Sumner posted 11 and 10 points, respectively. Schneider is currently leading the team with 15.6 ppg, and is also posting 5.9 rpg to go along with 69 assists. McDowell is helping out with 14.3 ppg, while Sumner is contributing 10.0 ppg.

The Tribe are coming off a terrible showing, but look for them to bounce back this evening against a weak Towson squad.
