More to the point, they were just 1-of-9 from long range in the second half and 8-of-16 from the foul line. Elon was also outrebounded 46-29. Adam Constantine scored 13 points for the Phoenix, while T.J. Douglas added 12. Drew Spradlin leads Elon in scoring at 13.1 ppg, good for 10th in the conference. He's shooting just 39.9 percent from the floor however, and a dreadful 58.3 percent from the foul line. Constantine is also scoring in double figures at 11.9 ppg, ranking third in the conference in rebounding at 8.0 boards per contest. Chris Long is seventh in the league in assists at 4.0 apg. Elon is shooting 40.7 percent from the floor and 31.3 percent from long range. The Phoenix are scoring 65.5 ppg, while giving up 71.8 ppg at the other end.
Antonio Hanson scored a career-high 27 points to lead Georgia Southern to its win on Monday. Colby Wohlleb posted 15 points, and Ben Drayton III contributed 14 points for Georgia Southern. Rory Spencer and Willie Powers tallied 12 points apiece. Spencer also blocked five shots. Powers is the leading scorer on the ballclub at 14.8 ppg, good for seventh in the conference. He's shooting 43.9 percent from the floor, but just 30.5 percent from long range. He also leads the conference with 5.2 apg. Hanson is also scoring in double figures at 12.4 ppg. Spencer is the leading rebounder, but he's pulling down just 4.4 boards per contest. Georgia Southern is shooting 42.8 percent from the floor while scoring 69.7 ppg. The Eagles are allowing 78.6 ppg at the other end of the floor. Opponents are shooting a troubling 50.5 percent against them.
Georgia Southern will have some momentum after winning on the road on Monday and that will give the Eagles a lift in this contest.
