GAME NOTES: The Troy Trojans will try to remain on top of the East Division in the Sun Belt Conference when they take on the Arkansas-Little Rock Trojans this evening at the Jack Stephens Center.

Troy, which is currently 11-5 in league action and tied for first in the East with Middle Tennessee, is coming off an 86-80 victory over Florida Atlantic. It was the third straight win for Troy, and the sixth in the team's last seven matchups.

As for the Trojans of UALR, they are coming off an 83-65 setback to North Texas. It was the fifth straight loss for Arkansas-Little Rock, which is a meager 3-13 in conference play.

The series between the two schools is currently tied at 3-3, but the last matchup went to Troy, a 63-58 decision

The Trojans shot a staggering 64.2 percent from the floor in their last contest, as they took care of Florida Atlantic by a six-point margin. Richard Delk led the way with 21 points, while Michael Vogler added 18 points, seven rebounds and six assists. Brandon Hazzard posted 17 points in the win, while Yamene Coleman contributed 12 points, to go along with nine boards. Troy has been outstanding throughout the season at the offensive end of the court and comes into this contest averaging 77.0 ppg. Hazzard is leading the team with 16.6 ppg, while Delk is helping out with 12.6 ppg. Vogler, who is pacing the team with 154 assists, is netting 12.0 ppg, while Coleman is chipping in 10.7 ppg, to go along with a team-best 8.1 rpg.

Scoring has been a problem for UALR, as the team is netting just 66.5 ppg, behind a lackluster 41.9 percent shooting effort. Solomon Bozeman is netting 13.7 ppg, to go along with 112 assists, while Alex Garcia-Mendoza is netting 11.3 ppg. UALR's offensive woes continued in its last loss to North Texas, as the Trojans scored just 65 points behind a mere 37.5 percent shooting effort, which included a 4-of-18 clip from long range. Garcia-Mendoza led the way with 19 points, while Derrick Bails contributed 18 points and nine boards. As for Bozeman, he struggled in the loss, finishing with just two points.

The Trojans of Troy are leaps and bounds better than Arkansas-Little Rock and should have no trouble getting past UALR.
