UL-Lafayette (13-14) at North Texas (19-8)

GAME NOTES: A game that could determine the winner the of the West Division in the Sun Belt Conference will take place this evening, when the North Texas Mean Green host the UL-Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns at the Super Pit.

The Ragin' Cajuns, who are currently tied with Arkansas State for second place in the West at 10-6, come into this matchup fresh off a 73-71 victory over UL- Monroe. It was the second straight win for ULL, which is a meager 3-10 on the road.

The Mean Green currently lead the West at 11-5 and come into this contest with a six-game winning streak. The last time North Texas was in action the team grabbed an easy, 83-65 victory over Arkansas-Little Rock.

The Cajuns pushed their lead in the all-time series to 16-13 over North Texas with a 74-72 victory earlier this season.

The last time the Cajuns were on the floor the team shot 50.0 percent from the floor and connected on 11-of-19 attempts from behind the arc, en route to a thrilling win over UL-Monroe. Tyren Johnson led the way for ULL with 26 points, while Randell Daigle added 19 points. Johnson has been the best player on the floor for ULL, as the forward is leading the team with 18.0 ppg and 8.0 rpg. Chris Gradnigo is posting 14.0 ppg, while Daigle is helping out with 11.7 ppg. As a whole the Cajuns have been mediocre at best offensively, as the team is netting just 69.0 ppg, behind a 45.2 percent shooting effort.

The Mean Green were sensational in their last contest, shooting 54.0 percent from floor, while also netting 22-of-34 foul shots, en route to a win over Arkansas-Little Rock. George Odufuwa led the way with 14 points, while Josh White added 12 points and six rebounds. Collin Mangrum also posted 12 points, while Eric Tramiel posted 11 points and pulled down seven caroms. White is currently leading the team with 14.9 ppg and 102 assists, while Thompson is averaging 13.9 ppg. Tramiel is contributing 13.0 ppg, while his fellow frontcourt mate Odufuwa is posting a double-double of 11.5 ppg and 10.2 rpg.

The Cajuns got the better of North Texas earlier this season, but the Mean Green should return the favor this evening at home and inch closer to a division title.
