Wright State (18-10) at Youngstown State (8-19)

GAME NOTES: Wright State will try to continue its domination of Youngstown State when the Raiders take on the Penguins in a Horizon League tilt at the Beeghly Center.

The Raiders have won 32 of the 39 previous matchups against YSU, and that includes a five-game winning streak. The most recent victory in the series was a 67-54 decision for the Raiders earlier this season.

The last time the Raiders were on the floor the team stepped out of league play to battle Ohio University, but fell to the Bobcats by a 64-59 margin. The loss snapped a three-game winning streak for Wright State, which is currently 11-5 in Horizon League action.

As for the Penguins, they are currently just 2-14 in conference action and roll into this matchup with a seven-game losing skid. The last time Youngstown State was on the floor the team suffered a tough, 62-60 setback to UC Riverside in BracketBusters action.

The Raiders struggled in their last contest, as the team scored just 59 points in a loss to Ohio. Wright State shot a woeful 31.7 percent from the floor and finished just 7-of-26 from behind the arc. Vaughn Duggins led the way with 15 points , while Todd Brown contributed 11 points and nine rebounds. Cory Cooperwood also collected nine caroms, to go along with 10 points. Duggins is currently leading the team with 14.5 ppg and 73 assists, while Brown is contributing 13.1 ppg. As a whole the team is producing a mediocre 68.2 ppg, but has benefited from solid defense, as the Raiders are limiting opponents to just 60.3 ppg.

The last time the Penguins took the floor the team scored just 60 points in a loss to UC Riverside. Youngstown State shot just 39.2 percent from the floor and connected on only 3-of-11 attempts from behind the arc. Vytas Sulskis was the only player in double figures for YSU, as the forward tallied 18 points. Sulskis is posting 11.3 ppg on the season, while DeAndre Mays is pacing the squad with 14.3 ppg and 86 assists. Sirlester Martin is chipping in 10.0 ppg for Youngstown State, which as a whole is producing a mediocre 67.0 ppg.

The Penguins might be home, but the Raiders have dominated YSU throughout the years and should put forth a stingy defensive effort en route to another victory.
