Pittsburgh, PA (Sports Network) - Melquan Boldin scored 24 points to lift the Duquesne Dukes over the Saint Joseph's Hawks by a 74-71 final in an Atlantic 10 Conference battle.

Damian Saunders tallied 15 points, 14 rebounds and seven blocks for Duquesne (11-10, 2-5 A-10). Eric Evans added 12 points for the Dukes.

Darrin Govens and Justin Crosgile both netted 17 points in defeat for Saint Joseph's (8-13, 2-5). Idris Hilliard finished with 14 points and 14 rebounds for the Hawks, who received 13 points from Todd O'Brien.

Duquesne connected on 53.3 percent of its field goal attempts in the first half and led 39-31 at intermission.

The Dukes shot an almost identical 52.2 percent in the second half to seal the victory.

Duquesne played tremendous defense in the tilt, holding Saint Joseph's to 37.9 percent field goal efficiency.
