Kent, OH (Sports Network) - Justin Greene scored a game-high 18 points, leading four players in double figures, as the Kent State Golden Flashes posted a 76-46 win over the Northern Illinois Huskies in a Mid-American Conference tussle at the M.A.C. Center.

Anthony Simpson came off the bench to score 12 points and grab seven rebounds for the Golden Flashes (15-7, 6-2 MAC) as they won their fifth straight outing. Randal Holt chipped in 11 points and Chris Singletary 10 to go along with eight boards and six assists.

The Huskies (8-12, 4-4) were paced by Darion Anderson who was the only player in double figures for the visitors with his 12 points, adding eight rebounds as well. Lee Fisher contributed with seven points and a game-high 11 boards in the team's fourth straight setback.

NIU hit the first basket of the game, but from there the meeting belonged to KSU, even as the Flashes converted just 4-of-15 shots behind the three-point line and 4-of-8 at the charity stripe in the period. After 20 minutes of action the home team held a 38-29 lead.

The second-half shooting for Northern Illinois was dismal, the team converting a mere 6-of-28 from the field and 1-of-8 beyond the arc, en route to the 30- point loss.

In addition to shooting a woeful 29.5 percent from the floor and 2-of-15 out on the perimeter on the night, the Huskies also hurt themselves with an unsightly 23 turnovers, which the Golden Flashes traded in for 20 points.
