Buffalo, NY (Sports Network) - Martelle McLemore scored a team-best 24 points and pulled down nine rebounds as the Western Michigan Broncos posted an 85-70 win over the Buffalo Bulls in Mid-American Conference action tonight at Alumni Arena.

Also scoring in double figures for the Broncos (12-9, 4-4 MAC) were David Kool with 23 points and Donald Lawson 11, while Mike Douglas added nine points and handed out a game-high 10 assists as the team snapped a two-game slide.

The Bulls (11-8, 4-4) were paced by Rodney Pierce with a game-high 29 points, shooting 10-of-26 from the floor in 37 minutes of action. Calvin Betts logged a double-double with 10 points and a game-high 10 rebounds as the squad lost for the fourth time in the last five outings.

WMU scored the first points of the night and never looked back, converting 58.6 percent from the field to grab a 47-33 lead at the break.

In the second half the Broncos again shot the ball well at a 58.3 percent clip, allowing them to cruise to the 15-point road win, just their second of the season on an opponent's home floor.

Western Michigan overcame 15 turnovers by shooting 11-of-22 behind the three- point line, compared to 6-of-20 for Buffalo out on the perimeter.
