Jamar Abrams poured in 28 points in the loss for East Carolina (7-15, 1-7).

Neither team was able to build a significant lead in the first half, and UCF led 24-23 at intermission.

The Knights opened the second half with a 21-8 run and led by double figures the rest of the way.
