Omaha, NE (Sports Network) - Justin Carter scored 17 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lead the Creighton Bluejays to an 84-71 victory over the Evansville Purple Aces in Missouri Valley Conference action at Qwest Center Omaha.

Josh Jones added 14 points for Creighton (12-11, 7-5 MVC), while Antoine Young posted 12 points. Cavel Witter tallied 11 points for the Bluejays, while Ethan Wragge chipped in 10 points.

Colt Ryan erupted for a game-high 31 points for Evansville (6-16, 0-12), while Ned Cox and Clint Hopf posted 12 and 10 points, respectively, in the loss.

The Purple Aces went into the break with a 38-32 lead after shooting 60.9 percent from the field, and that included a 7-of-10 clip from long range.
