Iowa City, IA (Sports Network) - Demetri McCamey scored 15 points, dished out seven assists and grabbed seven rebounds to lead the Illinois Fighting Illini to a 57-49 victory over the Iowa Hawkeyes in a Big Ten showdown at Carver- Hawkeye Arena.

Mike Tisdale added 14 points for Illinois (15-3, 7-3 BigTen), while D.J. Richardson posted 11 points in the win.

Matt Gatens netted 12 points and dished out six assists for Iowa (8-15, 2-8), while Jarryd Cole posted 10 points in the loss.

The Illini shot 51.7 percent from the field in the first half and went into the break with a 35-27 edge.

In the second stanza, Illinois held Iowa to a mere 26.9 percent shooting effort from the floor and went on to win by an eight-point margin.

Illinois Shot 44.7 percent in the contest, while the Hawkeyes finished with a poor 29.6 percent shooting clip.
