NC State (14-9, 2-6) received 14 points from Richard Howell, while Tracy Smith dropped in 12.

The Wolfpack took a 28-25 advantage heading into the intermission after connecting on 45.8 percent of their attempts from the floor.

NC State fell apart in the second half, only mustering 19 points off of 29.2 percent shooting (7-of-24) from field-goal range.

The Cavaliers out-rebounded NC State 40-30, helping them to their fifth conference victory of the season.
