Saint Louis, MO (Sports Network) - Kwamain Mitchell layed-in two of his game- high 17 points with 1.6 seconds remaining to lift the Saint Louis Billikens over the St. Bonaventure Bonnies, 67-65, in an exciting Atlantic 10 Conference battle at Chaifetz Arena.
Saint Louis (13-8, 4-3 A10) received 11 points each from Jon Smith and Willie Reed, while Reed also completed a double-double by adding 11 rebounds.
Andrew Nicholson and Jonathan Hall both netted 13 points for St. Bonaventure (9-11, 2-5), while Da'Quan Cook added 12. The Bonnies also received 11 points apiece from Ogo Adegboye and Chris Matthews.
The Billikens led 31-27 at the intermission after shooting 44.4 percent from the field in the first half.
Saint Louis only squeaked by with the two-point victory despite connecting on a solid 62.5 percent of its shots in the second stanza.
The Billikens took advantage of the Bonnies' mistakes en route to the victory, manufacturing 22 points off of 16 St. Bonaventure turnovers.
