Houston, TX (Sports Network) - The duo of Jordan Callahan and Johnny Mayhane scored 18 points apiece to lead the Tulane Green Wave to a thrilling 79-74 overtime victory against the Rice Owls in a Conference-USA bout at the Tudor Fieldhouse.

Kendall Timmons added 14 points in the win for Tulane (7-14, 2-6 C-USA), while Kris Richard tallied 10 points.

Arsalan Kazemi scored 19 points and collected 13 rebounds to lead the way for Rice (7-14, 1-7), while Trey Stanton notched 16 points. Tamir Jackson registered 13 points to go with eight assists in the losing effort, while Connor Frizzelle finished with 11 points off the bench.

The Owls took a 37-28 lead into the break after an 8-of-9 effort from the charity stripe provided an edge in an otherwise competitive offensive half for both squads.

In the second half, however, the Green Wave battled back with a 48.0 percent effort from the floor, and a jumper from Timmons with just 30 seconds remaining in regulation tied the contest at 61-61 to force an extra session.

In overtime, Tulane converted 10-of-14 from the foul line to earn a five-point win.

The Owls were guilty of a game-high 17 turnovers in the loss, accounting for 25 Tulane points.
